Caption: March 1965. Volunteer women's groups, organized through the efforts of Festival management and the Executive Committee, sold season tickets and distributed promotional materials and brochures in communities of the Detroit Metropolitan area as well as Windsor, Sarnia, Port Huron, Flint, Lansing, Ann Arbor, and the tri-city area - Saginaw, Bay City, and Midland. Area ticket and promotion committees, led by district chairpersons, enthusiastically contacted clubs, churches, civic groups, PTAs, businesses, and others each season to achieve success in their common goal to build support for the Meadow Brook Music Festival.
